USCGC WALNUT Adoption

USCGC WALNUT Adoption Ceremony and Enlisted Recognition:

The Pensacola Navy League and Cutter WALNUT formalized their relationship of interaction and support. Capt Chris Bonner called his Crew to the weather deck where they were joined by members of the Pensacola Navy League. After remarks by Capt Bonner and Pensacola Navy League President Dan McCort the administrative paper work was signed by; Capt Bonner, Command Chief EMC Nicolas LaBianca, Dan McCort and Steve Luongo. The Pensacola Navy League and Cutter WALNUT look forward to a long and lasting relationship of support and recognition in Pensacola. 

Enlisted Recognition:

In addition to the Adoption Ceremony ET1 Andrew Benyo USCG was recognized for his outstanding performance of duties while attched to the Cutter WALNUT. Petty Officer Benyo was presented first with a Certificate of Appreciation signed by Congressman Matt Gaetz. The Certificate was presented by Congressman Gaetz staff member Jason Boatwright. Then Petty Officer Benyo was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Pensacola Navy League by President Dan McCort. Lastly Petty Officer Benyo was presented with a gift bag on behalf of the Pensacola Navy League's two major Sponsors, Navy Federal Credit Union and PenAir Federal Credit Union. We congratulate ET1 Andrew Benyo for his professionalism and well deserved selection in recognition of his outstanding achievements. BZ Petty Officer Benyo!
